I graduated in 2003 from the Royal Veterinary College, University of London, and then spent nearly 2 years working in mixed practice in Cornwall. I enjoyed mixed practice immensely, and ultimately would like to return to it one day, although I am enjoying small animal practice just as much. I moved back home at the end of 2005, and started at Avenue Road in March 2006. Interestingly I have come full circle as my first ever dog came to this practice when I was 2 years old! I am a keen scuba diver and qualified instructor, but unfortunately am currently unable to dive for medical reasons. I have 4 dogs at home. Mac is a 4 year old whippet who I do obedience and agility with, and he was my graduation present. He is a blue brindle boy, and can be exceedingly naughty when he chooses, as he is very clever! The other 3 dogs I have at home are Molly (a 10 year old brindle retired greyhound), Reggie (a 8 ½ year old black retired greyhound who has hypothyroidism) and Teddy (his brother, a black and white greyhound who retired due to a broken leg before ever reaching the track), all of whom I bred. Teddy and Reggie are the universal donor blood group for dogs, and thus are two of our regular donors when required. |
